The US Embassy in London is the official representation of the US Government in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
The American Embassy is located on Grosvenor Square which is in Mayfair. Louis B. Susman was sworn in as the United States Ambassador to the Court of St. James's in July 2009 and has been on duty in London since August 2009. The American Embassy London was moved to 1 Grosvenor Square, the building which now houses the Canadian High Commission, in 1938.
The existing Embassy buiding occupying the whole west side of Grosnevor square, was designed by Eero Saarinen and completed in 1960.
